Introduction to Isabella's Quilt

100 Good Wishes Quilt

To welcome and celebrate a new life, there is a tradition in the northern part of China to make a Bai Jia Bei, or 100 Good Wishes Quilt. It is a custom to invite 100 people to contribute a single square patch of cloth. The 100 patches are sewn together into a quilt that contains the luck, energy, and good wishes from all the families and friends who contributed a piece of fabric. The quilt is then passed down from generation to generation.

Thank you for visiting Isabella's 100 Good Wishes quilt. For those of you that have adopted before or are in the process right now, you know how much patience you must have before being united with your forever child. Well, anyone that has begun the process of making the good wish quilt for their child knows how time consuming it is as well. I hope and pray that you all join me in this adventure and become a part of this treasurable moment for our Isabella.
I will post pictures of the wishes and fabric squares on this blog site when I receive them. Please send me an email if you are interested in helping me out and I will respond back to you with the address where you can send me the fabric. My email address is Ily15@hotmail.com

Thank you for joining me in this journey.
May the peace of the Lord be with you today and always.
